  • How long can I chat with an employer?

As long as a job posting is online you can get in touch and have unlimited chats with the employer. If the job posting is offline then you can no longer chat together.

  • Can I apply to multiple jobs and chat with multiple employers?

Yes, you can respond to multiple jobs and chat with different employers. This increases your chances of getting a job!

  • How can I accept a the placement document?

You can accept the digital placement document sent to you via chat by checking “agree” on the form. The placement document will automatically appear in your employer overview!

  • Employer List

Once you have approved the placement document, it is automatically placed in your employer overview on your dashboard. The employer overview is a logbook of your employers. The overview remains online as long as you maintain your account.

  • How do I know for sure that I can start working for the employer?

A placement agreement does not guarantee you an employment contract. If the employer still decides not to offer you an employment contract, the employer must notify Jobpackers within 5 working days before arrival, using the “cancel placement form” button.
When an employer fails to do this, you should make a notification on the portal. With the button in the employers list “No Show”. If the employer does not cancel in time the advertisement will be deleted and the credits for chatting with other candidates will be stopped. The employer will have to place another ad for access to chat with candidates.

  • Can I cancel a placement form?

If a placement document is approved by both parties then you can still cancel it. The placement document serves as the basis for the employment contract with the employer. It is important that good agreements are made.
If you still want to cancel the placement you can do so up to a maximum of 5 working days after the acceptance of the placement document. By pressing the “cancel placement” button in the employer overview you waive the planned work. It is important to do this in a timely manner or your account will be locked for 60 days.

  • Do I have to seek replacements myself when an employer does not offer you an employment contract?

It is wise to leave your details and CV online on the platform. This allows another employer to chat with you at any time. Of course, you can also look for another employer yourself. Chances are you’ll quickly find an employer you can work for!

  • How do I record agreements with an employer?

If you have chosen the employer you want to work for and the employer agrees, the employer will create a placement document.
This placement confirmation contains the details of both parties and the corresponding agreements. You will receive the completed placement document via chat, after which you approve it.

  • What is a placement document?

When you and the employer decide on an employment contract, you want to make good arrangements together. You record these agreements in the placement document. These agreements include starting date, hourly wage and other employment conditions such as the duration of the placement and probationary period. The placement document is separate from the (future) employment contract that will later be concluded with the new employer.
